LIK Ahmedabad

It gives us great pleasure to reach out to you'll for the Louis I Kahn Program in Ahmedabad which is the second edition of the LIK program dedicated to documentation which aims to help students to learn the art of documentation in its entirety.

The tutor for the particular program is Ar. Poonam Trambadia, who is a conservation architect. She has done a Master’s in Conservation from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, and has worked on the rapidly vanishing Parsee architecture, culture, and heritage and research on Urban heritage and governance. In Ahmedabad, she has worked on several projects such as the conservation assessment of buildings designed by Louis Khan on the IIM Ahmedabad campus, the restoration of fortification walls in the old city of Ahmedabad, and the Conservation of a step well at Vadaj.

The program will be conducted in Ahmedabad for 2 days on the 6th and 7th of January 2023. The program would be open to 25-30 students based on their interests. It will focus on publishing a one-of-a-kind documentation booklet with all the students. The travel and accommodation charges have to be borne by the student from both sides upon intimation of successful candidature.
